ATM card cloning cases registered
The UT Police has registered two cases of ATM card cloning where cards of two residents were cloned and used in Delhi and Gurgaon. Investigations have revealed that both the cards were used by the same person.

In one of the cases, Gurwinder Singh, a resident of Sector 37, had lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell of the UT Police after he received an SMS that a transaction of Rs 75,000 was made from his Axis Bank credit card on December 4, 2012. As per Cyber Cell officials, the accused had spent Rs 99,890 at various stores in Gurgaon and bought a new mobile phone.

In another case, Kunal Thakur, a resident of Sector 38, received an SMS that a payment of Rs 24,500 was made from his ICICI credit card on December 9, 2012. Payments totalling Rs 71,000 were made in various New Delhi showrooms. As per cyber cell officials, a woman resident of Jalandhar has been traced in both cases.
