Youths’ Head Tonsured, Face Blackened For Writing Love Letter
July 11, 2013

It has been reported that two 17-year-old youths were made to go through an embarrassing situation of their life for writing and sending a love letter to a girl. The incident took place at Dhiktaniya village in Sirsa district.

The sources have informed that the girl complained to her parents about the love letter. Agitated parents took a stern step against the case by tonsuring the heads and blackening the faces of the two boys. The parents of the girl also beat up the boys.

Meanwhile, the families of the boys lodged a complaint against the high-handedness of the girl's parents and other villages. In the complaint, Krishan Kumar, the uncle of one youth, said his nephew and friend were thrashed by Om Prakash on way to the gym, and the latter also got Pappu, a barber, to shave their heads. The station house officer of Sadar police station, Hansraj, said that they would investigate the role of those who assaulted the boys and take action.
