Mysteries Gloom Over Top Officer’s Death

On September 11, 2013, the Chief Post Master General, Punjab circle, K L Khanna, was found dead under mysterious circumstances. The dead body was recovered around 10.30 am at his Sector 30 residence.
Khanna, 59, was younger brother of retired IAS officer Sudha Pillai and brother-in-law of retired Union Home Secretary G K Pillai. The cause behind the sudden death of the officer is not yet known. The post mortem report is awaited and the police are also investigating over the death mystery.

The police have claimed that no external injuries were found on Khanna's body. Khanna was rushed to Government Multi Specialty Hospital -16, where doctors declared him brought dead. Khanna's son found his father lying unconscious in his room and he immediately informed the officials working at his father’s office. According to reliable sources, Khanna had called his driver around 7.30 am and asked him to come later for his usual pick-ups time of 8:30 am.
